E2 Engineering Competition
HoustonWorks USA’s STEM Institute invites elementary, middle and high school students, who have an interest in engineering to participate in 2012 E2 Engineering Excellence Competition sponsored by HoustonWorks USA and Schlumberger. Students will compete during this city-wide event which is aimed at students who have an interest in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Volunteers are needed to serve as program judges and to meet general needs.
Aviation & Aerospace Initiative
HoustonWorks USA invites local high school students, who have an interest in aviation and/or aerospace, to participate in our newest STEM Institute Initiative – AirSpace.Orb. AirSpace.Orb is an aeronautics career-path program that offers six (6) half-a-day classes of academic learning centered on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Scholarship Program
HoustonWorks USA is pleased to announce the funding of educational scholarships for youth living in the Gulf Coast area. Applicants must be between 17 and 21 years of age. The scholarships will assist students with educational funding for attending local colleges, universities, apprenticeship programs and vocational training schools. The HoustonWorks USA Scholarships are merit-based educational grants. 2012 Scholarship Application
