World Renowned Journalist Dan Rather to Host Gala Event
HOUSTON (August 31, 2009) – HoustonWorks USA is pleased to announce that Global Correspondent and Managing Editor of Dan Rather Reports HDNet, Dan Rather, will host the 25th Anniversary Gala of HoustonWorks USA on Saturday, October 31, 2009. This marks the Silver Anniversary of the organization which will present the Founder Award to its originator, Mayor Kathy Whitmire.

During the past 25 years, HoustonWorks USA has helped more than one million clients with job placement services, provided more than $500,000 in scholarships and hosted more than 100,000 students in their youth summits, camps and seminars.
