HoustonWorks USA’s human services is dedicated to providing the Houston community with assistance. From preparation to recovery, from guidance to grants, HoustonWorks USA offers diverse programs to aid those in need.

HoustonWorks USA is providing long-term, post disaster case management services to families that reside in Harris County and are still experiencing the effects of Hurricane Ike. HoustonWorks USA will provide the following:

• Identify participants needs
• Develop a plan for recovery
• Locate and apply for services and resources needed

Eligibility criteria consist of the following:

• Family must currently reside in Harris County or be a Harris County resident who has relocated outside of the 34 county area covered by the project
• Family must be experiencing continuing verified adverse impacts directly related to Hurricane Ike
• Family is not enrolled on a Disaster Housing Assistance Program
• Direct services are not allowed under this pilot project
